What clients can expect from me:
- I provide my clients with a competent and professional service each time they come for an appointment, addressing each client’s specific needs for that session.
- I return calls/emails within 24 hours unless my outgoing message says differently.
- Clients are treated with respect and dignity
- I perform services for which I am qualified, and I refer clients to appropriate specialists when the work is beyond my scope of practice.
- I keep accurate records and review charts before each session.
- I respect all clients regardless of their age, gender, race, national origin, sexual orientation, religion, socioeconomic status, body type, political affiliation, or state of health.
- If I need to cancel an appointment, I do so within 24 hours whenever possible. If an emergency arises and I cannot keep an appointment, I provide a 50% discount on a client’s next session. For non-emergency cancellations of less than 24 hours, there is no charge for a client’s next session.
- My equipment and supplies are clean and safe.
- Personal and professional boundaries are respected at all times.
- Clients are draped with a sheet at all times during the session. Only the part of the body being worked is exposed. Genitals are never exposed or massaged.
What I expect of my clients:
- Sessions begin and end at scheduled times. Session which start late due to the client arriving late end at the appointed time and are full price.
- Be present and not under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
- Clients provide a health history and update whenever necessary.
- If cancellation is necessary, please give 24 hour/“night before” notice to avoid being charged full price for the appointment. Emergency cancellations are determined on a case-by-case basis at the therapist’s discretion.
- Payment is expected at the time service is rendered.
- Out-call appointments: if a client does not arrive within 15 minutes after the scheduled time, s/he is charged for the appointment and the session will end on time.
- Sexual harassment is not tolerated. Compromising therapist’s safety is not tolerated.
- Be clean, having showered or bathed on same day as treatment.
- Do not eat a heavy meal less than two hours prior to treatment.
